Thandiwe
Thandiwe was fourteen years old when we met her. She stays with an elderly grandmother that is taking care of her and two of her other siblings. Her father died very close to her birth and her mother abandoned her and is now dead. [read more]
Ntombie
Susan and I first met Ntombie at an outreach to children in the rural areas of Swaziland. We were so touched by her soft heart for the hurting children in her area. She had an incredible love and softness for the children even though you could tell by her countenance that something was very wrong. [read more]
Tinotenda
The boys heard the faint, exhausted cries. They seemed to be coming from the outdoor toilet. They were - from inside the toilet, down in the foul and deep accumulation of human offal. Flies and other insects were crawling in the filth that covered the terrified little one's face and entire body. [read more]
Maqobo and Siphesihle
Their mother is a prostitute and she abandoned them. They say they are not sure who their father is. They stay with an elderly grandmother who now works 12 hours a day to pay for a place for them to stay. This leaves both children to fend for themselves all of the time. [read more]
