Meet the Children

Here are some of the precious children and their stories. Bear in mind that these stories are very much still being written. Your support of Children’s Cup not only makes it possible for these stories to happen, but gives hope for thousands more innocent children in need to have a story much like these.

Moreblessing
Moreblessing is a friendly and cheerful child who enjoys playing with her friends. She is quite a popular girl. Not so long ago, the carepoint facilitator noticed that Moreblessing had become a bit withdrawn and often times would arrive late at school. [READ NOW]

Regina
Her name means “queen” but her childhood gave her little hope of ever being more than just another broken life drained of all hope. When she was still just a child,
her father died, and she was left in charge of her younger brother since their mother was unable to care for them.

Lungelo
When I first saw 5-year-old Lungelo he wore a ratty shirt and nothing else even though it was a cool day. He was extremely dirty with urine and faeces on his legs and he was sick with a virus. My heart just went out to him not because of his lack of cleanliness but because he hung his head in embarrassment and shame. [READ NOW]

Thubelihle
A couple years ago, she spent her days alone on the street, sickly and hungry. Now she’s five years old, and she’s graduating with her class at her CarePoint and is a vibrant, hope-filled, bright little girl. [READ NOW]

Alex and Alexina
Twin seven-year-olds whose story has taken them through the horrible world of digging through the city garbage dump for food to support their family. [READ NOW]
