About 200 of our children do go home to orphan centers with a nurturing Christian atmosphere. They are on course to productive lives and Christian marriages.

But for about 1000 of our kids and one million others, when the school day is over, the child leaves the Christian environment and re-enters a world of witchcraft and sexual predation.

at the top of their lungs in the daytime, spend the night sobbing and whimpering in cringing fear and unspeakable abuse. And in the morning they feel somehow guilty and like only a half person. AIDS claims even more victims.

As we continue to promote and empower Christian families to provide foster care in the local communities we are proceeding to phase two. In a big step - no, make that a great leap of faith, Children's Cup is launching a network of Children's Cup Orphanage Homes where God-fearing, children-loving parents raise a "family" of 8 to 12 orphan children in a home environment.

Missionaries Ben & Susan Rodgers are working on building a support team right now to move to Zimbabwe to help oversee the network. The national churches we work with have qualified "parents" ready to start.
