Village of Hope Orphan Care Campus
The Village of Hope is a 20acre campus in Harare Zimbabwe. Our goals there are to provide 200 orphans a permanent home, provide schooling for 500 at risk young people, provide medical care for surronding community of 50,000, and provide community based care for at risk and disadvantaged children.

Operations
To keep the doors open in orphan care camps, we need to continue to provide operational expenses to both camps.

Medical Equipment and Supplies
Our clinics are often the only source of medical attention for more than 15,000 people.  Every child in the camps is given regular malaria medication.  Malaria cases have dropped dramatically.  The nurses train the kids in personal hygiene and AIDS avoidance.
The clinics also provide pre/neo-natal care, immunizations, emergency care, and hosts "ZVAKANAKA ZIMBABWE" USA medical teams.

Daily Meals and Vitamins
'Cup provides meals and vitamins everyday for the children at the schools.  For some of them, it is the only meal they have each day.  We have a source that will match every dollar we spend for food from 4 to 6 times.  Donated food dollars have tremendous buying power!

Skills Training
The Centers provide adult training in agriculture, animal husbandry, carpentry, blacksmithing, tailoring and mortuary procedures. Also, by providing sewing machines, cloth and instruction we have started an industry of making school uniforms.  The children get a set of clothing and the trainee gets an income-generating skill.

Grinding Mills
These mills allow the centers to grind maize for local farmers.  By keeping 20% of what they grind for farmers as fee, the camps can become "food secure."

Additional Schools
An additional school of 500 students (again, many HIV positive and orphans) cannot keep the students in class because they are unfed and, therefore, unmotivated.  We want to at least feed them and give them malaria medication.

Facilities Expansion
Both Tongogara and Chambuta need another classroom and a library.

Resource Center
You can donate books toward a container shipment, filling the library.

Blankets
During the winter most of the children are cold, with no way of staying warm.  Blankets will be their most cherished possession.

Pre-School Readiness Program
We are preparing preschool children for success in elementary school; to educate care givers on HIV/AIDS prevention; and to develop community capacity to meet the needs of AIDS orphaned and at-risk children.
