RETURN TO MENUWe believe strongly in the power of prayer. We also know that one of the greatest collections of people who know how to pray is our supporters. It has been your prayer that has opened doors for Children’s Cup to give Hope to so many children who were without hope. We also believe in the power of united prayer (“...if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”) So, we are asking all of our supporters and anyone who believes God can and will touch the lives of the precious children of Africa and other hard places of the world to join together for “forty days of prayer for the children.” The following pages will serve as a daily prayer guide from August 1 through September 9, giving some specific information and things to pray about during each day. AIDS, war, child slavery, child prostitution, starvation, life on the street without any family - these are part of daily life for millions of children. But we believe that God can still reach inside their hearts and give them new life. Abundant life that comes only from hope in Jesus Christ. Ultimately, that’s what this is all about. We will be praying for the missionaries and workers who touch the lives of these children each day. We’ll be asking God for favor with governments and leadership. We’ll ask God to miraculously heal the sick - even those with AIDS. (AIDS is not too hard for God to heal.) And we’ll be praying for you - the people who support the work - a vital part of the team that God is using to bring hope to the children. Throughout the forty days, we believe that God will not only hear, but that He will perform miracles -- miracles of healing, miracles of provision, miracles of salvation, and miracles of divine direction.It will cost each of us. It will take a few minutes of our day for forty days. But can you imagine the day when we will hear the complete account of what was done for the Kingdom as a result? What a tremendous opportunity to be a part of something that will make a difference - FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR THE CHILDREN.
